Some of you will have heard me or read one of my posts, emphasising the importance of patient stories. This story encompasses all the strongest areas for awareness but also explains a classic NET journey for others to hear about. It’s wonderful to hear the voice of caregiver Amy as these things tend to impact on close family too. I hear that strength come through in her voice and I’m sure Anthony appreciates that. Anthony is a strong too, this guy plays soccer, tennis, he runs and is clearly a proficient sailor.
The input from NET specialist Dr Pamela Kunz adds another and very important dimension to the story. Dr Kunz was approached by an Emmy award winning PBS docuseries to do an episode on NETs. Dr Kunz asked Anthony and Amy if they would be the family featured in it. Anthony and Amy both hope it could help people, particularly those early on in their journeys. I’m sure it will!
