Summary of August 2026
August was similar to the other months of this year but like July, views are down on the previous two months due to 50% of the month spent on holiday. Still a reasonable blog performance – I can’t complain. Other key targets met were three more editions of the Spotlight series on vitamins and minerals; e.g. see my Spotlights on Magnesium, Selenium and Potassium.
I had many shares on many posts in August – know this, every share helps someone understand or even work towards a diagnosis, discovery of the best doctors and treatments, questions to ask about this, that and the other. The top posts this month really shows the breadth of subjects applicable to Neuroendocrine Cancer that needs to be considered. Click on the each of the 10 posts to read. Then check the goldmine that awaits you below that.
I wish I could do more but there’s just little old me! It’s amazing to think I produce more than many of the ‘big’ international/national orgs put together. Clearly I have Chris who helps with travel and hiking/cycling photos of course (for those following my exploits on Facebook Page Ronny Allan). Fortunately I have a great 2IC and admin team in my private group, so that runs as normal but also takes up a huge amount of my time.
What you can expect below;
- I’ll list the top 10 performing blog posts in August 2026. I can assure you there is some great information in there, and you may have missed some of my latest blogs which made it to the top 10. Click the blue heading or the picture on each. Every share spreads awareness and you could potentially save someone’s life. Includes 4 bonus posts.
- I’ll then provide the top performing post from each of my Facebook pages in the month of August (very often this is different from the top posts by views). For those not aware of my 3 Facebook public pages;
- I normally post my new blog posts on my Facebook page Neuroendocrine Cancer
- Ditto on World Neuroendocrine Cancer Day. However, I mainly do awareness posts as some people prefer those as they can share them in their own systems and audiences. I don’t mind that as long as source continues to be referenced.
- Holiday photos, personal stuff, and often some areas of amusement are normally published on my Facebook page Ronny Allan
- Finally, I will list the top performing posts so far in 2026
I’m thankful to the loyal supporters on my blog site and the other social media sites day and night (and I do note some doing both!). I really am very grateful and probably would have given up long ago, were it not for your support. If you like my work, see my ‘Buy me a coffee‘ link below.

Facebook Performance August 2026 – Top performing post on each page
Facebook Page Neuroendocrine Cancer (blog mainly). Some big numbers on this page in August but this one was top by a country mile. Click here to see the Facebook post or click on the graphic below to go direct to the blog post to which it refers. This is not always about number of views, it’s about the reaction on Facebook. It helps me learn how to post. That said, this post was the top performer in August 2026 and Facebook awarded it a sub title of “Strong Hook”.

Page Ronny Allan (personal NET stuff plus travel, humour, interesting stuff not in my blog). Click here or on the graphic below. Sometimes I post about a clinical trial but I was at a meeting and met this well known NET specialist at the same time

Facebook Page World Neuroendocrine Cancer Day (blog focussed on awareness). It was also mentioned above. Someone obviously shared that in a high volume area – many thanks to that person/those persons. Special feature – My Patient Group
The group was an afterthought. In terms of the largest patient groups across the world, mine is the newest but has grown into the biggest, perhaps the international flavour helps. In terms of membership sources, US, UK, Canada, Australia, South Africa, New Zealand, Ireland, India, Germany and Netherlands dominate making almost 90% of the group membership. I estimate over 14,000 membership by end of 2026! Not as rare as you think!
